Determination of standard values of microcirculatory parameters.

Abstract
In the determination of the values from the microcirculation measurements by means of tissue spectrometry (O2S), no standard values are yet available which can be used as an interpretation aid in relation to the organ to be examined. Due to local, regional, organ-specific and gravity-dependent perfusion, the assessment of microcirculation in the capillary flow area is influenced multifactorially. Measurements were taken at different reference points in a healthy volunteer group. In the results, we show normal values and their normal value ranges for reference measurement sites and correlated these values with available clinical parameters of perfusion and cellular metabolism. It could be shown that there is a good interpretative correlation between relative oxygen saturation and relative oxygen metabolism. This positive constellation is also found between relative haemoglobin concentration and oxygen extraction rate.
