Abstract

Of the estimated annual 120000-165000 syncopal events in Germany not all find their way through the emergency service in the hospital. Most patients with syncope treated or admitted outpatients with these symptoms. During the approximately 45,000 rescue operations per year in Brandenburg, the rescue service personnel diagnosed between 2000 to 6000 times the diagnosis syncope. Surely there can be no rescue medicine with regard to the use of calculation as medical data for emergency medicine prescribed country or across countries are missing. An extrapolation of the Working Group in Brandenburg active emergency physicians (AGBrN) on the data basis of the ADAC air rescue GmbH Munich found that are carried out up to 12% of the German air rescue operations due to syncope. This corresponds to Germany's 4200 air rescue operations.
